i thought of making a silent art performance of rape. 


A guy offers a young girl caring a dog backpack a cupcake and a plastic fork. She rejects him politely, then he forces the food into her mouth with a huge fight, and then at the end the young girl is now a woman - forced to grow up quickly - and then the man offers her a towel, she goes to reach for it, he yanks it away and then wipes his face, throws the towel and leaves.

The lady gets up shakily to find a different towel, wipe the sweets off her, and then cries.

Throughout the play, the lady is forever stained with frosting that only she can see.

blah blah continuing, she’s with her boyfriend, he pulls out a cupcake in a wrapper and a fork, and offers it. She smiles enthusiastically and reaches out. As soon as the boy opens the wrapper, the girl is pelted with fallen sweets from above, and then starts screaming, having a panic attack, she falls and runs to the corner. The man throws his cupcake to the side and runs to comfort her.

Then he sees all the sweets on her, grabs a towel and then wipes her down.


In the silence except for her panting, sniffling and quiet sobs, she says to her boyfriend:

“All I did was go to school.”

The only words said in the play.
